1. To represent our products and services fairly and honestly in advertising and promotional activity, so that no one may be deceived as to their nature, quality, or fitness for purpose, or deliberately confuse such products with the goods of another.
2. Not to make false representations or claims in respect of products and services and only use designated endorsement or approval or conformation to stated standards or specifications when proper to do so.
3. To produce and circulate price lists and sales terms which are clear, correct, and adequate and which do not confuse or deceive customers.
4. To provide relevant and full information to buyers of welding products and equipment and to promote their use without misrepresenting their advantages and disadvantages.
5. To compete for business ethically and with fairness and honesty and without publishing false or disparaging statements concerning competitors, or competitor's products.
6. Where required to seek by open and intelligent co-operation with others to increase efficiency and service to customers in the welding industry.
7. To understand the nature and scope of the welding industry, its products and operating conditions to help ensure its rightful place in industry and the marketplace.
8. To conduct our affairs in a manner that is lawful and ethical and with proper regard to the public interest and the environment. Not to engage in activities, which would directly bring discredit to AWD or the industry, we represent.
9. To further the products and methods of welding techniques through continuing research, development and training as appropriate.
10. To adhere to the Articles of the AWD and to foster and promote the maintenance of good working practices and conditions within the welding supply industry.
11. To promote safe methods of working at the workplace and safety in the application of welding products in customers' applications.
12. Not to use the Association's logo to signify the Association's approval of any particular product or service. Not to continue to use the logo or to hold out in any way as being a member of the Association having resigned or having been excluded from membership.
This Code of Conduct must be signed by a senior person of responsibility such a Director, Company Secretary or Partner.
